Using the WP DISPLAY FILES plugin, the Permission module allows restricting files for role-based permission. Admins can control which user roles can see and download files and folders on the frontend, based on whether the user is logged in or not.

How to Assign Role-based Permission to View Files on the Frontend

  1. Step 1: Please log in to the WordPress admin dashboard and navigate to the Add or Edit Shortcodes page.
  2. Step 2: On this shortcode page, scroll down to the Permission Settings section.

  4. Step 4: In the same section, go to the Roles tab and select the roles you want to allow access to. You can decide whether certain roles require users to be logged in to access files/folders.
