How to Fix the “Parsing the Package” Problem During Android App Installation
Are you getting the “there is a problem parsing the package” message when trying to install an Android application?
Well, that’s because it is not verified by Google Play and you’re not downloading it from the Google Play Store but installing the .apk from another source or directly copied onto your handset.

In this case, you need to enable the following settings to install it without any problem:

  1. Step 1: Go to the device Settings menu.
  2. Step 2: Tap on Security.
  3. Step 3: Under Device administration, find Unknown sources.
  4. Step 4: Checkmark Unknown Sources to allow installations from sources other than Google Play.

That’s all. A short post but might be helpful for beginner Android developers.
