network_user_new_created_user action

Fires after a new user has been created via the network user-new.php page.

To use network_user_new_created_user action, first you have to register it using add_action. You can write this code into functions.php of your activated theme or in a custom WordPress Plugin.

We at WePlugins always prefer to create a custom WordPress Plugin while using hooks so nothing breaks when you update your WordPress Theme in the future.

In the below live example, we have defined a function execute_on_network_user_new_created_user_event which takes 1 parameter and we registered using add_action. The first parameter network_user_new_created_user is the name of the hook, The second parameter execute_on_network_user_new_created_user_event is the name of the function which needs to be called, the third parameter is the priority of calling the hook if the same hook is used multiple times, and the last parameter is the number of arguments (if any) to be passed in the registered function.

Sometimes, you have to remove a registered hook so you can use remove_action to remove network_user_new_created_user action.

Parameters

    Below the 1 parameter is required to use this hook.

  • $user_id : (int) ID of the newly created user.

Live Example

do_action( 'network_user_new_created_user', int $user_id )

Below is an example of how you can use this hook.

Example 1: Basic Usage

This example shows the basic usage of the hook.

	function weplugins_execute_on_network_user_new_created_user_event($user_id){
	   // Code to execute when a new network user is created.
	}
	// add the action
	add_action( "network_user_new_created_user", "weplugins_execute_on_network_user_new_created_user_event" , 10, 1);

Example 2: Sending a Welcome Email

This example demonstrates how to send a welcome email to the new user.

	function weplugins_send_welcome_email($user_id){
	   $user_info = get_userdata($user_id);
	   $email = $user_info->user_email;
	   wp_mail($email, 'Welcome!', 'Welcome to our network!');
	}
	// add the action
	add_action( "network_user_new_created_user", "weplugins_send_welcome_email" , 10, 1);

Example 3: Assign Default Role

This example shows how to assign a default role to the new user.

	function weplugins_assign_default_role($user_id){
	   $user = new WP_User($user_id);
	   $user->set_role('subscriber');
	}
	// add the action
	add_action( "network_user_new_created_user", "weplugins_assign_default_role" , 10, 1);

Removing the Hook

To remove a hook callback, use the example below.

remove_action( "network_user_new_created_user", "weplugins_execute_on_network_user_new_created_user_event", 10, 1 );

Make sure to provide the same callback function name, priority, and number of arguments while removing the hook callback.
