registered_taxonomy_taxonomy action
The dynamic portion of the filter name, $taxonomy, refers to the taxonomy key.
To use registered_taxonomy_taxonomy action, first, you have to register it using add_action
. You can write this code into functions.php
of your activated theme or in a custom WordPress Plugin.
We at WePlugins always prefer to create a custom WordPress Plugin while using hooks so nothing breaks when you update your WordPress Theme in the future.
In the below live example, we have defined a function execute_on_registered_taxonomy_taxonomy_event
which takes 3 parameters and we registered using add_action
. The first parameter registered_taxonomy_taxonomy
is the name of the hook, the second parameter execute_on_registered_taxonomy_taxonomy_event
is the name of the function that needs to be called, the third parameter is the priority of calling the hook if the same hook is used multiple times and the last parameter is the number of arguments (if any) to be passed in the registered function.
Sometimes, you have to remove a registered hook so you can use remove_action
to remove registered_taxonomy_taxonomy
action.
Parameters
- $taxonomy: (string) Taxonomy slug.
- $object_type: (array|string) Object type or array of object types.
- $args: (array) Array of taxonomy registration arguments.
Below are the 3 parameters required to use this hook.
Live Example 1
This example demonstrates how to use the registered_taxonomy_taxonomy
action in your plugin or theme.
function weplugins_execute_on_registered_taxonomy_taxonomy_event($taxonomy, $object_type, $args){ // Implement your custom functionality here } // Add the action add_action( "registered_taxonomy_taxonomy", "weplugins_execute_on_registered_taxonomy_taxonomy_event", 10, 3 );
Live Example 2
Below is an example showing how to remove a hook callback.
// Remove the action remove_action( "registered_taxonomy_taxonomy", "weplugins_execute_on_registered_taxonomy_taxonomy_event", 10, 3 );
Please make sure to provide the same callback function name, priority, and number of arguments while removing the hook callback.
Live Example 3
Another example to illustrate the use of custom functionality with this action hook.
function weplugins_custom_registered_taxonomy_action($taxonomy, $object_type, $args) { // Your custom logic here } add_action( "registered_taxonomy_taxonomy", "weplugins_custom_registered_taxonomy_action", 20, 3 );
